Parents (including foster parents) who are in work and who meet the criteria can access an additional entitlement of 15 hours per week during term-time (over 38 weeks), or 570 hours stretched across the year (over 48 weeks or over 51 weeks) for their 3 and 4 year olds.
This is the Extended Entitlement and it is on top of the UE that all 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to.
3 and 4 year olds who are eligible for EE can therefore access funded childcare of up to 30 hours per week during term-time (over 38 weeks), or 1,140 hours stretched across the year (over 48 weeks or over 51 weeks).
